Auf dem Oval in London findet das fünfte "internationale" Fußballspiel statt, dass ebenfalls zum fünften Mal zwischen England und Schottland ausgetragen wird. Das schottische Team besteht erneut ausschließlich aus Spielern, die in London ansässig und mit den Regeln der Football Association (FA) vertraut sind. Wie schon im November 1970 siegt England mit 1:0. In der Gesamtbilanz führt England mit 3 Siegen und 2 Unentschieden gegenüber Schottland mit 2 Unentschieden und 3 Niederlagen.
